There is no future without technology. And there is no technology without nature. These are two elements that are critical for the progression of our species and the progression of our society. (NA/FU)TURE depicts a narrative moment that blends both futuristic and natural elements to capture an intriguing scene. Here we have a wood carver who sits calmly as he patiently adds the finishing touches to his latest work. He is an advocate of scientific advancement but also cognizant of the beauty and importance of nature. He carved these heads out of the body of a fallen tree as a way of immortalizing the material and creating an homage to the storied relationship of nature and technology.
