Olaoluwa Akinsola, who practices under the pseudonym AKINVIEW, is a Maryland-based emerging artist who specializes in fine art and design.

“My work aims to take viewers on a visual journey that presents a different perspective on how they see the world and think about a concept.

My pieces place African American subjects in different environments/scenes that explore the relationships between nature, technology, and futurism. I want my work to appeal visually, while at the same time encouraging conversations that allow for the communication of important ideas. This mission is inspired by the old stories told by our grandparents and elders, that both entertained us and imparted wisdom into our lives.

As a digital and oil painter, I acknowledge the differences of both mediums, but also enjoy the benefits that each medium provides. With the changing times, I have pivoted fully into oil painting, and I am enjoying every bit of this versatile medium.”
